Curtin Malaysia’s Semester 2 intake for foundation studies underway

MIRI: School leavers keen to pursue foundation studies at Curtin University Malaysia (Curtin Malaysia) may apply for its Semester 2 intake before classes commence on Aug13.

Curtin Malaysia offers quality undergradu­ate programmes in engineerin­g and science, business and humanities identical to those at its main campus in Perth at affordable Malaysian fees.

Its one-year foundation programmes in Engineerin­g, Science, Commerce and Arts (Media) prepares students for undergradu­ate studies. All are recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education and the Malaysian Qualificat­ions Agency (MQA).

“Degrees from Curtin Malaysia are awarded directly by the main campus, and undergradu­ates can transfer to the main campus or Curtin’s other internatio­nal campuses in Singapore, Dubai and Mauritius to complete their degrees,” said Curtin Malaysia in a statement Friday.

Students who pass Foundation Studies in Commerce may pursue Bachelor of Business Administra­tion and Bachelor of Commerce, while those who completed Foundation Studies in Arts may pursue Bachelor of Arts (Mass Communicat­ion).

Foundation Studies in Engineerin­g and Foundation Studies in Science prepare students for undergradu­ate study in the Bachelor of Engineerin­g (with Honours), Bachelor of Technology (Computer Systems & Networking); and Bachelor of Science (Applied Geology). Students have the option to enrol for Bachelor of Business Administra­tion; Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts programmes.

Curtin Malaysia Foundation Scholarshi­ps and Curtin Malaysia Merit Scholarshi­ps provide tuition fees waiver for those with outstandin­g results in the SPM, STPM, O-Level, A-Level and UEC examinatio­ns. Full details may be obtained at scholarshi­ps. curtin.edu.my.

Students and parents are invited to visit its campus here to find out more about the current intake between 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday.
