Salasiah, Ismat emerge winners in bowling meet

KUCHING: The 149 & Below Megalanes Skin’s Final was successful­ly held at Megalanes Adventure World, King’s Centre on Wednesday night where 11 finalists vied for the title.

After nine games of intense competitio­n, Salasiah M Apandi topped the field with her total of 1,390 pins, followed by Siti Zubaidah in second position with 1,356 pins.

Roslan Awang secured third position with 1,339 pins, while Abang Yusdi , who recently participat­ed in the World Para Bowling Tour at Megalanes Sarawak, came in fourth after he scored 1,312 pins.

In fifth position was Zaiwisman Zamali with 1,252 pins, while Awang Saifullah managed a sixth position finish after accumulati­ng 1,157 pins.

Mohd Azril Azwan and Khalil Arshad grabbed eighth and ninth placings with their total of 1,099 pins and 1,041 pins respective­ly whi le Awang Nuzul Annuar ( 1,041), Romel Marcoco ( 1,020) and Iffah Fatihah (949) capped the night in ninth to 11th positions.

Meanwhile, youngster Muhd Ismat Imran knocked down a total of 1,188 pins over eight games to emerge as champion of the 129 & Below Megalanes Skin’s Challenge Final on Tuesday night.

In second place was Timoty Bara, who amassed a total of 1,079 pins, while Siti Fazilah grabbed a third place finish with her total of 1,052 pins.

In fourth place was Cyril l Grace with 1,024 pins, followed by Beverly Mias in fifth position with her total of 956 pins.

Nur Zhafir, Muhd Yazid and Cleveland Dian finished their challenge in sixth to eighth positions respective­ly.
