JOSH Trank, the director at the helm of the Al Capone biopic “Fonzo”, has unveiled an impressive shot of Tom Hardy in the role of the gangster on Twitter:

This isn’t the first photo to have surfaced on social networks. Hardy himself hasn’t held back from sharing images from New Orleans, where shooting for the movie began in April of this year.

“Fonzo” recounts the life of Al Capone, who, at age 47, fell victim to dementia. As the film unfolds, the past and the present intertwine in the mind of the famous gangster, who was one of the most violent in history.

Al Capone ruled Chicago with an iron hand during Prohibition, in the early 20th century. The merciless gangster was finally convicted of tax fraud in 1931 and imprisoned for eight years before he died at age 48, in 1947.

The cast of brings together Linda Cardellini (“Mad Men”) in the role of Al Capone’s wife Mae, and Matt Dillon (“The House that Jack Built”) as Johnny, the gangster’s most faithful friend. Kyle MacLachlan (“Twin Peaks”) and Kathrine Narducci (“The Sopranos”) play Doctor Karlock and Rosie, one of Capone’s sisters.

No release date has been disclosed for “Fonzo”, but the director recently announced on Twitter: “Enjoy the trailer in two months. weirdos”, which has given fans something to look forward to.

Hardy will also star opposite Michelle Williams in the next Marvel Comics film “Venom”, which is due to release on Oct 5 in the United States. — Relaxnews BEN SCHWARTZ, also known as Jean-Ralphio from “Parks and Recreation,” Rutabaga Rabitowitz in “Bojack Horseman,” and Dewey from the new “DuckTales” is to voice Sonic the Hedgehog in the 2019 movie of the same name.

For a character that’s all about speed, “Sonic the Hedgehog” has taken a while to announce its lead actor.

We’ve already learnt that James Marsden of “X-Men” and “Westworld” will play Tom, Sonic’s main human ally, and that Jim Carrey (“A Series of Unfortunate Events”) will become the Eggman, evil mastermind Dr. Robonik.

Tika Sumpter (“Ride Along”) and Natasha Rothwell (“Insecure”) had also been picked before Schwartz was revealed as the blue blaze himself.

Carrey had recently revealed, during a Television Critics Association event, that his role would be live-action.

Envisioned as a synthesis of live- action and CGI, the film is to centre around Sonic and his friends Tails the fox and Knuckles the echidna.

As usual, they will be involved in foiling the diabolical plans of the overly authoritarian Robotnik.

The November 2019 movie will be directed by Jeff Fowler, who was involved on the animation side on “Where the Wild Things Are,” and 2003’s “Rockfish,” an award-winning short from “Deadpool” director Tim Miller. Fowler also co- directed the 2005 Oscar-nominated animated short “Gopher Broke.”

Debuting in 1991 as a fast-paced response to Nintendo’s “Super Mario Bros.,” the franchise has expanded to over 50 entries and more than 350 million sales and game downloads in the nearly three decades since.

Sega backed out of the console manufacturing business in 2001, but partnered with longstanding rival Nintendo for a crossover mascot sports franchise “Mario & Sonic.” As it happens, an animated Mario movie is in development at Illumination Entertainment, home of the “Despicable Me,” “Secret Life of Pets,” and “Sing” movies.
