Cargo truck catches fire, no injury reported
BINTULU: A cargo truck with a load of electrical equipment and medicines caught fire along Tatau- Bintulu road around 10.23am yesterday but fortunately no injury was reported in the incident.
Tatau Fire and Rescue Department rushed 13 firemen to the scene after receiving a distress call of the truck fire.
Upon their arrival, the blaze had spread to the cargo section of the truck.
One fire engine from Bintulu station with three firemen was also deployed to the scene to assist in fighting the fire. The operation ended at 1.50pm.
It was reported that the fire had damaged 80 per cent of the truck.
