S’wak Matta Fair 2018 offers Huaiwei Nova 3i smartphone as daily lucky draw prize

KUCHING: Visitors to the September Malaysian Associatio­n of Tour and Travel Agents ( Matta) Sarawak Chapter’s 13th Sarawak Matta Fair 2018 will stand a chance to win a new Huaiwei Nova 3i smartphone in a daily lucky draw.

The Daily Lucky Draw is different from the Buyer’s Lucky Draw, where only visitors who book holiday packages during any of the three days will qualify for a chance to win a new iPhone 8 (32GB).

The three- day fair will take place September 7 to 9, from 10am to 10pm at CityOne Megamall.

Entry fee is RM2 for adults 18 and above. Children can enter for free.

According to Matta Sarawak Fair organising chairman Wan Zakaria Wan Yusuf, they expect a 20 per cent increase in sales from last year’s RM6 million.

“Last year, we had 60 booths, but this year 18 travel agents and seven banks have booked a total of 78 booths at this fair so far,” he told a press conference at the Matta Sarawak office yesterday, which was also attended by Matta Sarawak Chapter chairperso­n Dayang Azizah Abang Zaida, who is also advisor for the fair.

Matta Fair is recognised as a major annual event for the Sarawak Chapter and known as a great event which provides amazing opportunit­ies of exciting holiday packages, fight offers, lucky draws and several other activities.

The event has received support from various organisati­ons such as Malaysia Airlines, Hilton Hotel, Harbour View Hotel and Merdeka Palace Hotel.

This fair is acknowledg­ed as a platform for the travel industry to promote their variety of travel packages, to foster and enhance networking among all in the industry as well as a great way for people to obtain special offers of a variety of travel packages under one roof.
