Turn business ideas into reality with Sarawak Shell LiveWIRE

KUCHING: The Sarawak Shell LiveWIRE programme is back for the third year and invites all Sarawakian entreprene­urs to be a part of an exciting initiative that can change their future.

Establishe­d in 2016, Sarawak Shell LiveWIRE programme engages with entreprene­urs committed to starting and growing their business ideas.

Business idea could concern social enterprise­s and the community, or an innovation that would revolution­ised the world; whatever it may be, Sarawak Shell LiveWIRE programme is here to help make it a reality.

The programme takes entreprene­urs through a series of workshops that will assist in generating or enhancing business ideas, testing business models and preparing to be successful business owners.

Towards the end of the programme, participan­ts will join a pitching workshop and a competitio­n which aim to provide the necessary skills for entreprene­urs to grow their businesses.

Five winners will each win a RM10,000 grant with mentorship and guidance from the Sarawak Shell LiveWIRE facilitato­rs for the next three years to kick start their businesses.

To date, about 150 entreprene­urs have participat­ed in this programme.

In 2017, Sarawak Shell LiveWIRE programme partnered with the Tegas Digital Innovation Hub which provided the facilities and guidance as well as an additional RM5,000 to each winner on top of the Sarawak Shell LiveWIRE grant.

This year, the programme will kick off with the ‘ Bright Ideas’ workshops in Kuching ( Sept 15), Miri ( Sept 22) and Bintulu ( Sept 30).
