Registration for Colour Rush 6.0 closes on Sept 12
MIRI: As the closing date of Sept 12 for submission of participation in Colour Rush 6.0 charity run approaches, those who wish to participate in the run are urged to register now.
Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society (SCCS) president Jocelyn Hee said they hope to achieve the target of 8,000 runners in Kuching, Miri and Sibu, and more than 80 per cent of that number have registered.
“We look forward to more people to come and support the awareness against childhood cancer,” she said.
The run wi l l take place at Saradise Kuching on Sept 17, Miri Marina Central Park on Sept 23 and Sibu Town Square on Sept 30.
Hee added that t- shirts for the Colour Rush run are now available at all Lea Sports Centre and Lea Centre outlets in Sarawak.
“In Miri, the t- shirts will be available at RM25 at Somerset Hotel every Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm, and a roadshow will be held every Saturday and Sunday at Permaisuri Imperial City Mall from 10am to 8pm.”
Colour Rush is now in its sixth edition. It aims to raise awareness of childhood cancer in Sarawak.
“We encourage the public to participate in the fun-filled event for a meaningful cause. Of course, we look forward to see the younger generation to demonstrate more understanding and empathy towards children with cancer,” said Hee.
