Tickets for association dinner still available

MIRI: Tickets for the Miri Thai Poo Association’s 40th anniversary dinner are still available and those who have yet to purchase the tickets can get them at the association’s office here.

The organising chairman Chong Ah Muk in a press release yesterday said the dinner will be a four-in- one celebration which includes the association’s youth wing’s 38th anniversary, women wing’s 28th anniversary and celebration to honour the elder members of the association.

“This celebration is very important and meaningful to us as it commemorates the long history of the association. The elder members are also important to our association as they have been there during its formative years. Thus, their contributions must not be overlooked,” said Chong.

Invitations have also been extended to other Thai Poo branches and more representatives are expected to attend.

Chong also reminded elder members who are 65 years old and above to get their tickets.

“All elder members will be invited to the dinner celebration as guests and the tickets for them are available at our office for free. The members need only to check their names and get the ticket before Sept 16.
