The various faith- based organisations in Sarawak take turn in hosting the walk. Last year it was hosted by IIC. It is also supported by O- Run- Utan Running Club and Petra Jaya Underground Running Club.

“Participants will be flagged off at the ACS carpark and the finish point will be at KBS premises. We are expecting 5,000 people this year compared to 4,500 last year,” he said.

The 5km-walk will take participants past the many houses of worship here – BEM Kuching Evangelical Church, Tong Kak Kuang Temple, Malaysian Hindu Sangam Sarawak Council, IIC, Sarawak Sikh Temple and Assembly of the Baha’is of Sarawak.

“It is the aspiration of the organisers that the spirit of unity and harmonious co- existence among the people of Sarawak could be strengthened further through this event. We wish to express our appreciation to all those who have contributed one way or another to this event,” Chua added.

No fee will be charged for the walk and those interested can register by calling Nur Atikah Bujang at IIC ( 082- 420798/799) or Phun Zi How of KBS ( 082- 428689). Participants also stand a chance to win prizes in a lucky draw.
