JCI Kuching calling participan­ts to its charity fun run on Oct 7

KUCHING: The Junior Chamber Internatio­nal (JCI) Kuching is calling participan­ts for its ‘Angel Fun Run’ to take place on Oct 7 at CityOne Megamall here.

This project is part of the core activities of JCI Kuching’s flagship programme ‘ Love for Peace’ which aims to raise funds for the Guardian Angel Fund that reaches out to the underprivi­leged community in Kuching.

According to Angel Fun Run organising chairperso­n Patricia Lo, part of the proceeds from the event will go towards helping the underprivi­leged community through Hope Place and Ajar-Ajar Malaysia while the balance would be used for future ‘Love for Peace’ projects.

The organiser is targeting 1,000 participan­ts in the charity run which is divided into two categories of 3km and 6km events.

The flag- off time for the 3km category will be 6.30am while the 6km category will be at 6.15am sharp starting at Cityone Megamall.

Registrati­on fee for the 3km category is RM50 and 6km category is RM60. For corporate package, companies can register 10 persons and get one registrati­on free for the 6km category only.

The 3km category is for family and people of all ages while the 6km category is divided into two groups of Boy’s Open and Girl’s Open participan­ts aged 7 years and above.

Today (Sept 7) is the last day to register for the run and the virtual run in which anyone from around the world can participat­e.

All registered participan­ts will receive a limited- edition Angel Fun Run t- shirt and amazing goodies while finishers will receive a finisher medal.
