Unique Sebauh Fun Run 2018 to be held Oct 6
BINTULU: Sebauh District Office in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports, and AirAsia will organise Sebauh Fun Run 2018 ( 9km and 5km) on Oct 6 at Rumah Henry Nuni Plen, Sungai Gelam Ulu Sebauh.
The soft official opening ceremony will be officiated by Utilities Minister cum Kemena assemblyman Dato Sri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom on Oct 5 with the run is to be f lagged- off by Bintulu Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing.
There will be a mini carnival at the longhouse involving government agencies and local entrepreneurs as part of tourism activities to mark the third anniversary of Sebauh as a full district.
Runners in the 9km and 5km men and women open, and 9km men and women veteran categories will enjoy the unique experience of being served local fruit known as ‘ Nancem’ (mixed breed of nangka with cempedak) at Rh Meikle Ding and at the ferry camp of both water stations.
Complimentary meal vouchers worth RM30 for prawn noodles (mee udang) and fish noodles (mee ikan lajung) will be given to the top 10 runners in each category .
Sebauh is one of the districts under Bintulu Division known for its ‘ f loating temple’, popular local ‘mee udang’, tapah fish and its rich of culture comprising Iban, Orang Ulu, Malay, Penan, Melanau and Chinese.
