DHL tops Aon’s 12 Best Employers in Malaysia for 2018
KUCHING: DHL Express ( Malaysia) Sdn Bhd was named the Best of the Best Employers for leading global professional services firm Aon as it names twelve organisations as best employers in Malaysia for 2018.
The other eleven are Agilent Technologies LDA Malaysia Sdn Bhd, American Express ( Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, Eco World Development Group Bhd, Federal Express Services ( M) Sdn Bhd, Gerbang Alaf Restaurants Sdn Bhd, Hartalega Holdings Bhd, SP Setia Bhd, SkyWorld Development Sdn Bhd, Sunway Building Materials Group, Sunway Hotel (Georgetown) Penang and Sunway IT Shared Services Centrs.
DHL Express Asia Pacific was also recognised as Aon Best Employer 2018 under the regional Asia Pacific programme, after being named Aon Best Employer in India and Singapore earlier. Marriott International Malaysia was named Best Employer 2018 through the global programme.
In addition, two organisations received special recognition: Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd for Special Recognition for Commitment to Engagement, and SAP Malaysia Sdn Bhd received Special Recognition for Commitment to High Performance Culture.
According to Aon Malaysia’s principal for talent, rewards and performance, Ridhima Khanduja, “As Malaysian workforce gets more discerning with wider exposure and changing demographics, Best Employers invest in continuous dialogue across the employee lifecycle.

Aon Best Employers achieved an engagement score of 87 per cent, compared to a market average of 63 per cent. They also scored 20 points higher than market average across the Best Employer indices of employer brand, effective leadership, and high-performance culture.
Despite half of Best Employers experiencing significant changes such as mergers and acquisitions, new leadership and a change in strategy, they increased revenues by an average of 15 per cent and profits by an average of 7.8 per cent.
In an evolving business environment, Best Employers inspire their employees with a compelling vision. 87 per cent of employees in Best Employer organisations agree that their senior leadership provides them a clear direction for the future ( 30 points higher than market average).
In addition, Best Employers have a total rewards strategy in place that focuses not just on pay but learning and career development opportunities as well. 79 per cent of Best Employer employees feel that they receive appropriate recognition for their contributions ( 27 points higher than market average).
