‘Hard work, determination vital in achieving goals’

-

SIBU: Nothing is impossible in this world as long as we work very hard to achieve what we aim for, says SK Tiong Group of Companies president Tan Sri Datuk Tiong Su Kouk.

He shared that his great interest in business had motivated him to achieve his goal by further expanding his business both locally and abroad.

Tiong said this when speaking during the 60th anniversary celebration dinner of S. K. Tiong Group of Companies held at a hotel here recently.

“If we face with failures, we should never give up hope but instead keep on fighting very hard until we achieve our goal,” he said.

He also thanked all his staff at all levels for their commitment and contributions to the group in helping to shape it into what it is today.

Earlier on, the group CEO John Tiong in his speech said his father (Su Kouk) has clearly proven that hard work coupled with solid determination, persistence, the never give-up spirit, patience and willingness to learn and improve for the better had eventually paid off.

“After sixty years of hardwork, sixty years of fight, the then hawker is now the president of SK Tiong Group of Companies.

“My father always humorously recalled how he started his business with only three dollars and forty cents may sound really light and easy. But people around him should know the actual bitter, sweet, the ups and downs behind the scene,” he added.

“All the challenges and difficulties do not happen by chance, but the will of God, he said adding without God’s blessings, all would be in vain,” John pointed out.
