MCCCI to hold course on digital entrepreneurship
MIRI: The Miri Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCCI) will hold a digital entrepreneurship course on Oct 6 from 9am to 5pm at its meeting room here.
According to MCCCI chairman Lee Khoi Yun, the course is in response to the government’s effort to develop digital economy.
“The digital technology is set to be the next big thing and creating a huge impact on our economy.
Thus, it is important for us to learn, embrace and apply it into the local businesses so that we can catch up with the changes,” said Lee in a press release yesterday.
The digital entrepreneurship course is a collaborative effort between MCCCI and Malaysia Digital Economy Corp (MDEC), offering participants an opportunity to learn about digital technology and its implication in the economy.
“Of course, we are encouraging young talents to join the course, as well as those who strive for changes as we believe that they could benefit from it, and to up their ante with creative and innovative ideas,” said Lee.
The course in Mandarin language, will cover topics such as online customer classification, e-commerce and business structure, e-commerce advertisement, managing social network account such as Facebook page, digital marketing, direct and indirect sales method, web designing, Facebook marketing, as well as other related topics.
As the course is offered free to all participants, seats are limited.

After the course, all participants will receive a certificate from MDEC.
The Malaysia Digital Economy Corp is a government-owned institution that is responsible for the management of the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC Malaysia) in technology, industry and commerce.
