After getting punched, Lohan says do ‘whatever it takes’

-

LOS ANGELES: Just days after getting punched in an Instagram video, actress Lindsay Lohan has bounced back with the rallying cry “do whatever it takes” to highlight the plight of Syrian refugees.

The altercation happened when Lohan tried to “save” what appeared to be a pair of children from their parents, as they were seemingly living on the street.

The woman in the family punched her in the face. Lohan filmed it all on a now- deleted series of Instagram Stories.

Walking the streets of what is thought to be Moscow, Lohan began broadcasting live to her 6.8 million followers as she approached the “homeless family”.

She identifies them as “Syrian refugees” that she says she is “really worried about”.

In a mixture of English and Arabic, Lohan speaks to the family offering to take the two young boys to a hotel to watch a film and says the children should not be “on the floor”. The family, understandably, resist and so Lohan turns on them, telling the mother “you should be a hardworking woman and you should be doing what you can for your children, so they have a better life.”

The group packed up their belongings and quietly walked away.

But Lohan follows and continues to stream to her followers, shouting to the boys: “I won’t leave until I take you”, and to the adults, “Now I know who you are. Don’t ( expletive) with me.”

Lohan then accuses the parents of “child trafficking” and “ruining Arab culture”. She shouts, “You’re taking these children, they want to go. I’m with you boys, don’t worry, the whole world is seeing this right now.” After several minutes the woman in the group turns and punches Lohan, knocking her to the floor.

It was a dramatic publicity comeback of sorts for Lohan.

She had been on a very low profile since relocating to London three years ago.

At one point, she was in a London production of Speed-the-Plow and then turned her attention to the Syrian refugee crisis.

She even met the dictatorpresident of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Later came news that she had put her name on a beach club in Mykonos in Greece, and MTV signed on to film a show there.

But things were relatively quiet for her - until that widely-viewed punch.

Now I know who you are, You’re taking these children, they want to go. I’m with you boys, don’t worry, the whole world is seeing this right now. Lindsay Lohan
