KUCHING: The youth and young voters in Sarawak should not to be swayed by the promises made by ‘outside’ parties who claim to fi ght for the causes of the people of the state through the Malaysia Agreement 1963 ( MA63), said Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu ( PBB) supreme council member Dr Hazland Abang Hipni.

He said PBB which formed the Gabungan Parti Sarawak ( GPS) together with its political allies comprising the Sarawak People’s United Party (SUPP), Parti Rakyat Sarawak ( PRS) and Progressive Democratic Party ( PDP) were committed in fighting for the rights of Sarawakians through the MA63.

“Those are our ( Sarawakians) rights, don’t be deceived, especially the youth and young voters. Always remember that our rights in MA63 must be returned to us through PBB, which truly struggles for Sarawak’s causes,” Dr Hazland, who is also Demak Laut assemblyman, said when the officiating the Kampung Tanjung Bako futsal field here.

On the futsal field, which was built at a cost of RM200,000, he said it was one of the rural transformation projects (RTP) in Demak Laut for this year.

Under the RTP, futsal fields would also be built in five villages, namely Kampung Pinggan Jaya, Kampung Muhibbah, Kampung Semilang, Kampung Bako Hijrah and Kampung Bako Hulu and these are expected to be ready by this year, he added. — Bernama
