Domino’s Pizza to expand outlets to 240 by year-end

SHAH ALAM: Domino’s Pizza Malaysia is aiming to expand its outlets to a total of 240 stores by year- end from the current 223 nationwide.

Domino’s Pizza Malaysia and Singapore Operations Deputy President Shamsul Amree Abdul Rahman said the outlook for 2019 seemed bright for the food and beverage sector and the company looked forward for more growth opportunities.

“As at the second quarter of 2017, Malaysia is the largest Domino’s Pizza market in Southeast Asia and fifth largest in Asia Pacific,” he told reporters at the launch of the Domino’s Everyone’s A Winner Contest here, yesterday.

Shamsul Amree said the business landscape was quite hard, with the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax ( GST) and followed by the reintroduction of the Sales and Services Tax (SST) in September after the GST was abolished.

However, 2017 was a great year, while Domino’s Pizza Malaysia continues with its growth plans this year and expects 2019 to be a positive one as well, he said, adding that the market would adjust to the SST this year, while the company aimed to grow further in 2019.

On the contest, prizes prizes worth more than RM130,000 are up for grab. Domino’s Pizza is teaming up with its longstanding beverage partner, Etika Beverages Sdn Bhd in running the contest for pizza lovers.

The main prize is a brand new Honda City, while other prizes include three Samsung Galaxy S9, 10 Logitech G560 Gaming Speakers, 20 Samsung Gear VR with controller, 50 vouchers for one year worth of Domino’s large pizzas, and unlimited Free Breadstix/ Cinnastix with minimum purchase valid for two weeks.

The customers are eligible to participate in the contest from Oct 8 until Nov 4, 2018 upon every purchase of Domino’s Bold Combos or any pizza with Pepsi Black 1.5L.

Shamsul Amree said the customers would then need to play a game of Count the hidden Pepsi Black and Pizzas’ and submit their most creative slogan along with entry to the contest on Domino’s website.
