Lagend aiming to be leading book publishing brand in S’wak
KUCHING: Lagend Book House & Distributor is aiming to become the leading publishing brand in Sarawak by producing a variety of genres and reading materials.
Its founder Fiezawati Kaderi said to achieve this, she has set up a company called Triple F Enterprise to market the Lagend Book House & Distributor brand, with Sarawak its main focus.
“We are now taking steps to produce a variety of genres and reading materials especially based on my birth state of Sarawak.
“There are many things for us to do especially in introducing the image and capability of Lagend Book House & Distributor as a book-publishing and selling brand, as well as getting quality writers and works,” she said in a press statement yesterday.
Apart from publishing books, she said Lagend Book House & Distributor also translates books from Sarawak into English to better make known the state’s colourful history and culture.
In terms of marketing, Lagend Book House & Distributor currently markets its books in a number of public libraries throughout Sarawak, as well as in popular book stores in the state and Peninsular Malaysia. Lagend Book House & Distributor also welcomes writers who want to work with them, saying their works will be published and marketed in Malaysia and international markets.
