Curtin to hold Tales of Halloween fundraiser
MIRI: ‘ Tales of Halloween’ by the student-run Malaysia Red Crescent Voluntary Aid Detachment 57 ( VAD 57) of Curtin University Malaysia (Curtin Malaysia) will be held at its campus this Saturday (Oct 27) from 6pm to midnight.
Students, staff of Curtin Malaysia and members of the public are most welcome to support the fundraiser for Malaysian Red Crescent Miri Chapter.
Two haunted houses with western and eastern themes, haunted maze runs, mini hunted games, photo booths and live performances at the main stage will thrill and strike fear in the hearts of visitors.
Tickets priced at RM30 each will be available at the entrance. A three- course ‘ Halloween Dining’ priced at RM20 each with ten complimentary coupons for activities may be pre-booked.
The event is supported by Malaysian Red Crescent Miri Chapter and Curtin Malaysia’s Office of Student Affairs.
Invited guests are former deputy chief minister and Malaysian Red Crescent Miri District chairman Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr George Chan Hong Nam, who is also prochancellor of Curtin Malaysia; as well as Assistant Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture who is also MRC Miri District First vicechairman and Curtin Malaysia management board chair Datuk Lee Kim Shin.
Also expected are Miri Mayor Adam Yii; MRC Miri District honorary secretary Tan Lay Yen and chief administrative officer Lui Yee Lan and senior management of the university.
