MDEC, chamber to hold business talk
KUCHING: Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation ( MDEC) will be co- organising a half- day seminar entitled ‘ SMI Digital Economy Readiness & Digital Free Trade Zone’ with Kuching Chinese General Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCGCCI) on Nov 3.
The seminar from 9am-12pm will be held at Wisma Chinese Chambers in Jalan Bukit Mata Kuching here, a press release said yesterday.
It is held to introduce chamber members and business operators to online businesses with various concepts such as Business- to- Business ( B2B), Business- to- Customer( B2C) and Business- to- Business- toCustomer( B2B2C) and other related matters.
This seminar will focus on how to develop online businesses/ecommerce and encourage more local companies to conduct their cross-border trading activities through their participation in the Digital Free Trade Zone ( DFTZ) which was launched together with Alibaba Group in 2017.
Speakers at the seminar include Kenix Tan from MDEC who will talk on ‘ Cross- border trade and DFTZ’, Catherine Chan from Alibaba.com on ‘One Stop International Trade Solution’, Abdul Khaaliq Ahmad from Produk Sarawak on ‘eCommerce with B2C’ and Philip Chan from JOCOM on ‘eCommerce with B2B2C’.
Registration fee (inclusive of lunch) for members is RM10 whereas non- members are charged RM30. As seats are limited, registration will be on a ‘ first- come, first- serve’ basis. Online registration can be done at http://goo. gl/5TT98J. The closing date for registration is Oct 30.
