Larry Sng says willing to go to MACC to give statement

-

KUCHING: Julau MP Larry Sng says he will go to Malaysia Anti Corruption Commission office ( MACC) on Nov 13 to voluntarily give his statement, if the authority needs it.

“I will volunteer to go into their office in Kuala Lumpur on Nov13 to get my statement recorded if they need it. They have not contacted me,” he told Borneo Post Online yesterday.

Sng also called The Borneo Post to clarify issues surrounding allegation made by a Parti Rakyat Sarawak ( PRS) leader that their members were surprised their names were included in PKR membership list, that was published by The Borneo Post yesterday.

“Actually, I have put on Facebook an article from The Borneo Post back in June, whereby 200 PRS members from Rumah Liban have quit the party,” he said.

He also clarified another claim by the chairman of Parti Keadilan Rakyat ( PKR) Julau branch, Semana Sawang, who alleged that 27 Teras members were allegedly registered without their consent.

“Out of the 27, nine of them have made statutory declaration that they have joined the party (PKR), and that they never signed any documents presented by Semana. A police report has already been lodged against Semana, Vernon Kedit and Leslley Kalom. I want to clear my name.

“Previously, the ketua cabang ( branch leader) Semana said all membership forms must go through him. I believe he should also be investigated. Today people say 13,000 and most of the people are my supporters. I believe the majority of new members are my supporters. However, there are those who applied through Semena. In such circumstances, Semena should be investigated.”

Sng also stressed that contrary to media report, MACC has not called him to have his statement recorded, but he is volunteering to get his statement recorded.

“Actually, the word ‘arrested’ is not correct. They were actually brought in for interview, for interrogation, one staff in PKR HQ and one staff from PKR Julau office, two individuals have been brought in for interview, both of them have been released as well. The staff in Julau has been released after five hours of interview, but I think the investigations are on- going,” he said.
