SEB honours 377 employees for diligent services

KUCHING: Sarawak Energy paid tribute to 377 long serving employees including five staff who have been with the company for 40 years, at the 2018 Sarawak Energy Loyalty Service Awards which took place in Kuching, Sibu and Miri recently.

In a press statement from Sarawak Energy, celebratin­g the ruby service anniversar­ies of forty years were Ang Choo Siew, Lee Haw Soon and Muhammad Zakaria from Kuching, Salleh Ali from Sarikei and Sia Yiik Nan from Bintulu.

The other recipients were those who had served the corporatio­n for between 10 and 35 years.

Altogether all the recipients represente­d almost 9,000 years of service in the state- owned energy developmen­t and power utility company that emphasises talent management excellence.

The figure also indicated that Sarawak Energy is a preferred place of work.

Presenting the awards to 249 long serving employees at a ceremony in Kuching recently was Sarawak Energy group chief executive officer Datu Sharbini Suhaili.

“We have almost 5,000 staff who serve our 650,000 customers and almost three million people from across Sarawak with hard work and dedication.

“We have evolved into the company of today from almost a century ago due to our people, our greatest strength,” said Sharbini.

He urged the recipients to share their knowledge and skills with the new and younger employees.
