Alamwasa Sdn Bhd moves to Mega Emart Commercial Centre

MIRI: Alamwasa Sdn Bhd yesterday officially opened its new office building located at Mega Emart Commercial Centre along Airport Road here.

The opening ceremony was officiated by its chairman Datuk Temenggong Hasan Sui, with board of directors namely Dato’ Lau Sie Nguong, Dato’ Sri Lau Hieng Su, Datin Jamilah Madang (wife of Hasan Sui) and Kong Shaw Kian. Also present were directors of Emart Group Loo Tan Thong and Ngu Ting Sii.

H asan, who is Penan paramount leader and founder of Alamwasa, in his speech said the company has journeyed a long way to become what it is today.

“Establishe­d in 1998, Alamwasa Sdn Bhd has grown by leaps and bounds from being a small oil palm plantation to managing a 900- hectare estate today,” he noted.

“Now, I finally succeeded in purchasing my own office building, and I am very grateful to other members of the board who have worked hard for this momentous event.”

He said the new three- storey building was purchased at a cost of RM1.8 million. The building will also be rented out to Alamwasa’s partner companies namely Ace Possible Sdn Bhd, Regalot Pelita Niah Plantation Sdn Bhd and Upmills Sdn Bhd to generate liquid cash flow for the company. Alamwasa Sdn Bhd is primarily engaged in the oil palm industry.

Regalot Pelita Niah Plantation Sdn Bhd and Ace Possible Sdn Bhd are also engaged in oil palm plantation while Upmills Sdn Bhd operates five oil palm fresh fruit branches ( FFB) collection centres located in Sibuti, Beluru, Suai and two centres in Batu Niah areas.
