SIBU: Fine dining outlet Tom’s Too officially re- opened yesterday under the new name Simply Delicious @ Delta, inspired by and in memory of the late Hii King Siong, the youngest daughter of long- serving Delta Group of Companies chairman and managing director Datuk Hii Yii Chiong.

King Siong, who passed away on March 6 this year after battling a long illness, had dedicated herself to managing the cooking and baking at Tom’s Too since its opening on March 3, 2011.

Owned by Delta F& B’s Sdn Bhd, Tom’s Too was named after the outlet Tom’s, in Kuching – anchored by the unselfish contribution and guidance of Thomas Yii, according to a statement issued by Delta F& B’s yesterday.

Inspired by and in memory of her sibling, current Delta Berhad chairperson and managing director Hii King Sien carried out extensive reorganisation and renovation of Tom’s Too, to honour King Siong’s passion and dedication to fine dining and, in particular, her involvement in producing the best quality food coupled with gracious service.

The re- opening ceremony included the presentation of prizes to the winners of a contest to come up with the outlet’s new name.

Among those present yesterday were invited guests Dato Tie Chee Ping, Yii and their respective spouses.
