Farley Supermarke­t to hold second Christmas Parade

SIBU: Farley Supermarke­t here will hold its second Christmas Parade at Farley Commercial Centre on Dec 22 starting at 6pm.

Farley Group manager Eijing Lau said this time around, it will be held on a bigger scale compared to the inaugural parade organised two years ago.

“This year, we are expecting about 500 people to join the parade,” he told a press conference here yesterday.

He said Farley is rolling out the festive event in collaborat­ion with Wan Ming Methodist Church, adding Christians from different denominati­ons are expected to turn up and join the parade themed `Love on Christmas Day’.

“The parade featuring four floats will start from the Farley stage area and return to the same venue after making its way around the Farley Commercial Centre.

“Upon its return to the stage area, expected to be around 7pm, we’ll proceed with our stage entertainm­ent programme which includes dances, flash mobs, and a lucky draw,” Lau said.

Pastor Tann Kedal is scheduled to deliver a Christmas message, he added.

Also present were Farley Supermarke­t manager Yeo Soon Teck, Pastor Yong Shin Rong from Wan Ming Methodist Church and parade organising chairman Yii Ming Ngie.
