Kuching brace for S’wak Road Race Criterium

KUCHING: Sarawak Cycling Associat ion wi l l stage the Sarawak Road Race Criterium at the Dataran Stadium Sarawak here on Dec 16.

According to a press statement, objectives of the event include promoting healthy competition among regional cyclists and developing local junior riders to showcase their potential.

The race is divided into two disciplines i. e. Criterium and Team Time Trial.

The Criterium race subcategories comprise a wide range of classification from junior (13 years of age), to veteran, masters ( 50 years and above), XXL Open, Men Open, Women Open and Sarawak Close. The race routes are designed to highlight technical skills, power output and high speed action.

Organisers are extending invitations to cycling teams from all over the region.

They can access the registration form from all cycling outlets in Kuching and Kota Samarahan and also via online registration (website address: https://goo.gl/ forms/ZxALGumqaaxfMt7g1).

Prize monies and medals will be awarded to winners according to specific category. Each criterium category champion will also bring home the coveted Race Champion Jersey.

Sarawak Cycling Association is organising the event in collaboration with the cycling associations of Kuching Division and Samarahan Division.
