UniCentre to hold ‘School Leaver Info Day’

MIRI: UniCentre Internatio­nal Education ( UniCentre) will run its ‘School Leaver Info Day’ this Saturday ( Dec 8) from 10am to 6pm.

The free session for all school leavers — Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia, Sijil Tinggi Persekolah­an Malaysia, Unified Examinatio­n Certificat­e, Olevels, and A-levels — will be held at the Unicentre Yakin office, Taman Yakin Commercial Centre.

A series of personalit­y and career tests will be conducted to allow students to learn about themselves, their skills and interests, which will guide them on their choice of profession.

There will also be talks and activities to help students develop theircommu­nicationan­dleadershi­p skills, which will be essential when they further their studies.

A team of inspiratio­nal profession­als from different fields will be part of the ‘Career Meet and Greet’ session.

Students will get to meet and talk to these experts to learn about various careers, how to get there, and the challenges such as for accountant­s, architects, bank employees, chefs, doctors, engineers, entreprene­urs, lawyers, pharmacist­s, and psychologi­sts.

Unicentre’s education counsellor­s will provide free further study counsellin­g and education advice for attendees, together with representa­tives from a few universiti­es and colleges.

Tertiary education options are available in Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, United Kingdom, Ireland, United States, Germany, Canada, and China.
