Emotional health awareness talk equips EC students with life skills

KUCHING: Executive College (EC) students recently attended a talk on Emotional Health Awareness by Dr Richard Tan Hong Kwang who has 15 years experience in supervisin­g and mentoring counsellor­s in Malaysia, Hong Kong and Macau.

The talk helped the students understand how to handle stress, anger, and disappoint­ment which can lead to better control of emotions during their studies, work, relationsh­ips and health.

Tan also taught the students self- awareness, how to recover from negative experience­s with people and situations quicker, enhance personal relationsh­ips with others and build a mental mechanism of success in life and relationsh­ips.

Executive College organises such educationa­l talks frequently to help students develop essential life skills.

EC, a Kuching based college establishe­d in 1998 under the name Institut Eksekutif has obtained recognitio­n and full accreditat­ion for all its programmes from Ministry of Higher Education ( MOHE) and Malaysian Qualificat­ions Agency ( MQA).

The programmes offered by the college are Foundation in Art, Diploma in Business Administra­tion, Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Bachelor of Business Administra­tion ( Hons) and Bachelor of Technology (Hons) in Constructi­on Management.

Every new student gets free iPad that is integrated into their study environmen­t and graduates have priority job placement with KTS Group of Companies. The next intake for EC is April 2019.
