Almost all UPKK 2018 candidates pass the Solat practical

PUTRAJAYA: Two subjects in Quran and Fardu Ain ( KAFA) Class Assessment Test ( UPKK), namely Solat practical and Islamic lifestyle appreciati­on, has recorded 99.9 per cent passes from 220,011 candidates, according to Islamic Developmen­t Department (Jakim).

Its director- general Datuk Mohamad Nordin Ibrahim said, the subject on the al- Quran had a 99.8 per cent passing rate.

“This achievemen­t demonstrat­es the candidates’ success in mastering the practice of prayer, reciting the Qur’an and practising Islamic lifestyle in everyday life,” he told reporters at the UPKK results announceme­nt at the Putrajaya Islamic Complex, here yesterday.

He said the candidates could obtain their UPKK assessment at their respective schools strating yesterday.

In addition, he added the assessment results could also be viewed online at http://semakan. islam.gov.my.

The results can also be requested through SMS by typing UPKKRESULT­mykid number or special identifica­tion number to mySMS 15888 starting 11am yesterday until 11am on Dec 25.

UPKK is an assessment for the Year Five KAFA students aimed at evaluating their achievemen­t after attending KAFA classes based on the prescribed curriculum.

Eight subjects were tested in written and practical forms, namely Solat practical, Islamic lifestyle appreciati­on, the Quran, the Shari’a ulum, sirah ( history), akhlak Islamiah (the Muslim manners), Jawi and khat as well as the lughah of the Quran. — Bernama
