Team UG KPA stumble in quest for trios league crown

KUCHING: Team UG KPA suffered a blow in the chase for the Megalanes Sarawak Corporate Trios League crown as they succumbed to a 5.514.5 defeat at the hands of PSKPP on Friday night.

However, they still maintained a slight advantage over Minions who climbed up to second position following a 16- 4 win over Pelita whi le EVO slipped to third position despite registerin­g a 15- 5 victory over DBKU in the league that entered its seventh week of competitio­n.

PSKPP escalated to fourth position thanks to the huge win against league leader Team UG KPA while CJ7 also climbed up one rung to fifth position as a result of their 15- 5 win over AlBait Bowlers.

With only three weeks to go, it will surely be interestin­g to see how the top three teams fare as they are only separated by 4.41 Peterson points.

In the meantime, Nazrin Wagiman of Minions is still in pole position for the Individual High Game category with Alexander Tow of PSKPP behind him.

For the Individual High Series category, Mohd Fauzi Mohamad of Landas remains in the driving seat followed by Sulaiman Mahili of AlBait Bowlers in second place.

There are several changes for the Team High Game category with Landas claiming the lead and PSKPP overtaking EVO in second place.

Both PSKPP and Minions also looked good for the Team High Series category as they replaced EVO and Team UG KPA respective­ly.
