The 2018 BB Love Box campaign received good publicity through major newspapers, the popular radio station TEA FM and social media platforms Facebook, YouTube and Whatsapp. Methodist Sarawak Chinese Annual Conference (SCAC) president Rev. Dr Tie King Tai personally helped in the publicity with video via YouTube and Whatsapp. Pastors from various churches also chipped in to actively promote the project.

Organisers were touched by the many kind-hearted people in the community who came forward to donate and contribute. At the BMM Love Box booth here a group of five visiting students from SJK Chee Mung ( Batu Niah) pooled their pocket money to buy a 2-kg packet of Milo! A young family from Brunei bought three bags of rice, Milo and school bags. There was no shortage of inspiring, heart-warming stories to make the Christmas season of giving even more meaningful. Big corporations like Pullman Waterfront Hotel Miri and Sarawak Oil Palms Berhad participated as project collaborators.

“We cannot deny there are needy people in our community. During this season of Christmas, it is a timely reminder for the more fortunate to render practical and emotional support to the less fortunate. When we bless others, we in turn receive blessings, encouragement and strength,” said Captain Hii King Ong, Sarawak State Commissioner of the Boys’ Brigade.
