Sports Toto to give elderly poor CNY red packets Jan 17-21

KUALA LUMPUR: In conjunctio­n with Chinese New Year (CNY) 2019, Sports Toto Malaysia Sdn Bhd is proud to announce its 32nd annual CNY Ang Pow Donation Campaign from Jan 17 to 21, 2019 for over 18,000 needy senior citizens nationwide.

The campaign will be launched in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall at Jalan Maharajale­la, Kuala Lumpur on Jan 17 from 9am to 10.30am.

Similar events will be held on Jan 17 and 18 at various venues in the peninsula.

On Jan 18, red packets will also be distribute­d to the elderly poor in Sarikei, Kota Kinabalu and Beaufort in East Malaysia.

Donations will be given on Jan 19 in Kuching, Sibu, Lahad Datu, Tawau and Keningau besides several towns and cities in Peninsular Malaysia.

Sports Toto will present CNY ‘ang pow’ in central and southern towns and cities of the peninsula as well as Sri Aman, Serian, Bintulu, Sandakan and Kudat on Jan 20; and at Miri and Labuan on Jan 21.

The donation campaign is open to needy senior citizens aged 60 and above.

Qualified senior citizens are advised to register early and arrive before 9am with their identifica­tion cards as the red packets are given on a firstcomef­irst- served basis. No representa­tive is allowed to collect the donation on behalf of a senior.

“This is a highly anticipate­d annual campaign and Sports Toto’s way of giving something back to society as part of our corporate social responsibi­lity ( CSR),” said Sports Toto communicat­ions manager Giam Say Khoon.
