Lucky rate payers win attractive prizes in MCC draw

MIRI: Three lucky assessment rate payers won the grand prize of a motorcycle each in the Miri City Council (MCC) 2018 Assessment Rate’s Lucky Draw Programme.

The winners are Tali Anak Melen from Jalan Rejang 3 of Taman Tunku, Wong Yuk Choo of Jalan Hokkien and Ubong Tesek @ Angela Ubong of Lorong 6-2, Jalan Dato Permaisuri 3C, Desa Indah.

Another three rate payers who took first placing received a smartphone each during the draw. They are Jali Matali, Lau Ka Tee and Paul Emang Lawai.

Three second place winners namely Kua Siang Hong, Abdul Aziz Majid and Winnie Sim received a 40-inch LED TV each.

Lipah Bador, Voon Nyuk and Reynold Anak Jang won a 1HP air conditione­r each as the third place winners.

Salhah Tani and Gulang Anak Chundi took home a 7.5kg washing machine each for winning the fourth place.

For the fifth place winners Awang Roslan Awang Omar and Christina Yii Ai Hua @ Thien Ai Hua, they each received a single door refrigerat­or.

Six consolatio­n prizes in the form of three units of multi-function pressure cookers, mountain bike (10), vacuum cleaner (5), dinner set (10), standing fan (20) and RM100 cash voucher (20) were also offered to lucky rate payers.

Rate payers will be contacted by MCC on their winnings which can be claimed at MCC’s Rating and Valuation Department from Monday (Dec 31). They are reminded to produce their IC to claim their prizes within a period of six months.

The lucky draw programme was held to show appreciati­on to rate payers who have paid all their assessment fees including arrears, if any on or before Oct 31 this year.

Those who settled their assessment bill this year were automatica­lly entitled to take part in the MCC’s Lucky Draw for Assessment Rates 2018.

However, those property owners who enjoyed hundred per cent waiver of assessment rate are not entitled for the luck draw as well as those with outstandin­g assessment fees.
