Couple wins Emart Batu Kawa RM50,000 home makeover

KUCHING: Fireman Junaidi Ros and wife Sajar Ali, both 57, was the lucky couple who won the grand prize for Emart Batu Kawa 13th anniversar­y lucky draw.

The grand prize, ‘A Home Make Over’ worth RM50,000 to re- do their living room in a flat unit at Tabuan Park complete with a new coat of paint, curtains, furniture and coffee table, TV set and cabinet among other things.

“We didn’t expect to win this much and are very happy to have our home make over soon...this is a New Year gift for us,” said Junaidi who works with the Fire and Rescue Department at Kuching Internatio­nal Airport.

The makeover will be done by D Seven Interior Design and once completed, Emart group will do a video shoot.

Meanwhile, Emart Kuching Group Marketing executive Adeline Pei said that 13 weekly draws had been going on since Sept 1 until Nov 30, in all Emart outlets throughout Sarawak with a total of 910 winners.

Emart has seven outlets in Sarawak with four in Kuching ( Express Sukmaria, Express Demak laut, Emart Matang and Emart Batu Kawah) and three outlets in Miri.

Yesterday was the redemption of prizes for Kuching, and Miri for the 13th week and final draw for the grand prize and overall top prizes.

Other prizes given included air coolers, washing machines, air conditione­rs and refrigerat­ors, television sets and many other electrical items.

“We have been in the market for the past 13 years, and hope that more people can enjoy the happiness. Next year we will give more happiness, in line with our vision and mission themed ‘Happy and Healthy Living’.

“That’s why Emart never hesitates to give much more. Our main purpose is to have these happiness giveaways, as we are thankful to our valued customers.Those who won the prizes are mostly our regulars,” she said to reporters at the event yesterday.

Emart Batu Kawa is currently having promotion and clearance sale together with Nestle just outside its supermarke­t until Jan 1, 2019.
