Lucky sweep dominates Megalanes Sarawak Awards ceremony
KUCHING: Lucky stole the show by sweeping three awards at the Megalanes Sarawak Awards Ceremony at Megalanes Sarawak, Batu Kawa yesterday.
The team comprising captain Datuk Raki’ah Al i, Edward Juit, Galliano Edward, Raphael Edward, Allexiss O’Neil Edward and Nurafidza Mohd Amran was named the Team Of The Year, beating three other nominees Tay Motor, Legend and Elite.
Lucky earned further honours when Raki’ah won the Best Female Bowler award and Allexiss bagged the Best Male Bowler award.
The most improved male and female bowlers were Hamden Harbi and Fatrizeriah Jerawi respect ively whi le the most sporting male and female bowlers were Khalil Arshad Othman and Salehah Saleh.
10 Pin Maf ia were the most improved team while Limited were named the most sporting team.
Meanwhi le, See Hua Dai ly News bagged the Best Article Of The Year award, beating last year’s winner The Borneo Post and two other nominees Utusan Borneo and The Borneo Talk.
Other award winners included Sarawak Energy Berhad ( Best Organised Event) and Police ( Best Corporate Club), SK Garland ( Most Act ive Bowl ing Club Primary School) and SMK Agama TUNAZ ( Most Active Bowling Club Secondary School).
Megalanes Sarawak supervisor Lily Rogermason gave away the trophies and certificates.
