Penview Hotel to offer CNY dinner sets

KUCHING: Penview Hotel will offer sumptuous dinner sets for Chinese New Year from Feb 4-19.

Priced at RM788 per table of 10, Menu A features the Penview yee sang; lamb shank; braised sea cucumber with fish maw, mushrooms and mixed vegetables; doubled boiled kampung chicken soup with ginseng; steamed fish; lotus rice; skinless butter prawns; baked cheese cake; and mandarin oranges.

For Menu B, which is priced at RM1,100 per table of 10 persons, the dishes are Penview yee sang; braised duck Hakka style; steamed fish; braised shark’s fin soup; Penview mixed vegetables with gingko nut and top shell; imperial steamed Hainan chicken; baked cheese prawns; baked cheese cake; and mandarin oranges.

Both options include cordial drinks and Chinese tea.

The hotel also provides catering packages for a minimum of 50 persons priced at RM50 nett per person for Menu A and RM65 nett per person for Menu B.

Menu A’s dishes are chicken rendang; butter oatmeal deep fried fish fillet; roast duck with the chef’s special sauce; pineapple fried rice; loh han chai with cashew nuts; and fried bee hoon Singaporea­n style.

Menu B consists of roast chicken with chef’s special sauce; breaded fish fillet with cocktail sauce; stewed lamb with black pepper sauce; pak lo duck; Penview fried rice; and seafood fried noodles.

Both catering menus include chocolate brownies and cordial drinks.

The hotel also provides two tables and 20 chairs at no extra charge.

Takeaway options for the same period include pak lo duck with egg (RM130); roast lamb leg (RM75 per kg); roast duck (RM120); butter prawns oatmeal ( RM140 for 2kg); fried rice ( RM80 per tray); fried noodles ( RM100 per tray); fish fillet Thai style ( RM38 per kg); breaded fish fillet with cocktail sauce ( RM45 per kg); and braised lamb shank ( RM88 per kg).

From Feb 4-19, Penview Hotel will also offer a one-night deluxe room stay with breakfast for two at RM100 nett.
