various facilities for tourists and visitors,” she said during a site visit yesterday.

Among those present with Rosey were Sibuti MP Lukanisman Awang Sauni and representatives from Subis District Council, Land and Survey Department and others.

It was also revealed that portions of the cliff will be reconstructed by the contractor to prevent erosion by the waves.

On efforts to promote Tusan Beach to tourists, Rosey said they will seek assistance from travel agents and hotels to promote the new facilities, and also utilise social media.

Tusan Beach, located about 40km from Miri, attracted widespread attention after photos of the ‘Blue Tears’ natural phenomenon appeared on social media in 2015.
