Kapit’s key property man hosts 300 guests at CNY open house

KAPIT: It was a festive gathering at a Chinese New Year open house hosted by prominent property developer Dato Yong Hua Sying at his residence along Jalan Bukit Goram here on Monday evening, where some 300 guests turned up for the occasion.

Hua Sying played host to local government department heads, fellow businessme­n, as well as representa­tives of local organisati­ons such as United Chinese Associatio­n ( UCA) Kapit, Kapit Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Kapit Foochow Associatio­n, Kapit Hawkers Associatio­n, Kapit Chiang Chuan Associatio­n and the Lions Club Kapit Chapter.

Police Special Branch officer DSP Chua Su Hua, Criminal Investigat­ion Department (CID) officer ASP Makkarannu Beddu, Police Management and Logistics officer ASP Chiew Swoi Kee, Bukit Mabong District Office administra­tive officer Jason Kong, Pemanca Yong Thu Fook, Penghulu Sia Shui Poh, Kapitan Yiap Hii Hoo, Kapitan Kong Cheak He, UCA Kapit president Sng Geok Yien, Kapit Division Archery Associatio­n president Ting King Yiing, Malaysian Red Crescent Kapit Chapter chairman Dr Sia Tih Kong, Kapit Tai San Ten Associatio­n chairman Kong Siau Kui, and Che Quan Khor Moral Uplifting Society Kapit chairman Yii Kau Chai were among the guests.

The highlights of the evening were a lion dance performanc­e by a troupe from Che Quan Khor Moral Uplifting Society Kapit, followed by a fireworks display.
