Grande matches Beatles with top 3 hits on Billboard 100

LOS ANGELES: Ariana Grande has matched The Beatles’ 1964 feat with the top three hits on Billboard Hot 100.

“7 Rings” reigns for the fourth week, “Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored” debuts at number two, while “Thank U, Next” has just bounced back to number three.

One, two, three — the likes of which has never been seen since 1964.

On top of that, her new album Thank U, Next has launched at number one on the Billboard 200 albums tally.

Grande reacted to the news by fi rst tweeting out, “wait what.” She then followed up with a quick “what the (expletive) is going on.”

Then the pop icon elaborated, explaining she at fi rst thought the announcement was part of a fan-fed hoax.

Also, check this out: Grande’s 11 Top 40 tracks are besting the record set by Cardi B last April, whose album Invasion of Privacy rocked nine Top 40 hits.

Back in 1964, The Beatles earned the honour for five weeks in March and April 1964, even claiming the entire top five on the Apr 4, 1964 chart.

Last week, Grande surpassed Taylor Swift and Katy Perry to be the most- subscribed female artiste on YouTube. She now has more than 32.5 million subscribers, compared with Swift’s 32.28 million and Perry’s 32.24 million.

Her music videos are also breaking records on the videosharing site. “7 Rings” was the biggest debut of 2019, with 23.6 million views in its fi rst 24 hours. Her newest hit video, “Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored,” had the secondlargest premiere of the year with 21.9 million views in 24 hours.
