PH S’wak works on consensus, unlike PBB-dominant GPS, says Larry

KUCHING: Julau MP Larry Sng has reminded Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah that he should not be commenting on the affairs of Pakatan Harapan ( PH) Sarawak, especially as the coalition is ‘ functioning well’.

The PKR national central leadership council member also pointed out that there was no rift in Parti Keadilan Rakyat ( PKR) Sarawak as claimed by Abdul Karim, who is Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu ( PBB) vice president.

“Unlike PBB which dominates GPS (Gabungan Parti Sarawak) at the expense of smaller component parties, PH Sarawak governs by consensus,” said Sng in a Facebook post yesterday.

He was responding to a news report in which Abdul Karim stated that the admission of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia ( Bersatu) into PH Sarawak would not make any difference, as the coalition would still be dominated by DAP.

The minister said this was especially so as DAP knew that PKR Sarawak did not have the means or capability to win rural seats, more so with the party supposedly split between Sng’s and PKR Sarawak chairman Baru Bian’s camp. Baru is Works Minister, Selangau MP and also Ba Kelalan assemblyman.

“DAP somehow love to see cracks in PKR so that they can move in…but Sarawakian voters are not that stupid though...the state PH coalition are all Malayanbased parties; if they (voters) want Malaya to dictate Sarawak’s destiny (then) just support them,” said Abdul Karim in the news report.
