Samsung Malaysia holds unique ‘launch’ of new Galaxy S10

-

KUALA LUMPUR: Samsung Malaysia Electronics has taken the term ‘launch’ to new heights, by unveiling 10 units of the new Samsung Galaxy S10, 80,000 feet above ground during an event at Skytropolis in Genting Highlands.

This epic stunt not only unveiled Galaxy S10’s outstanding camera qualities by taking a bird’s eye view of the Earth from that altitude, but was also a memorable way to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Galaxy series.

“The past decade has been illustrious for us – we have revolutionised the smartphone landscape and introduced many of the world’s firsts. But we are far from resting on our laurels.

“This is a special year for us at Samsung, because this is our 10th year of relentless innovation to bring you the next- generation smartphone.

“The Galaxy S10 is constructed with pragmatic intelligence and crafted to design perfection so people can unlock their potential and experience the world like never before,” said Samsung Malaysia Electronics president Yoonsoo Kim in a press statement.

Throughout the S10’s flight, the audience keeping tabs on-ground could join an online contest to predict where the units would land by dropping a pin on the mapped locations.

The pinned location closest to the landing site would earn the lucky winner a brand-new Galaxy S10.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 series is available from RM2,699 to RM4,599 in Prism White, Prism Black and Prism Green.

The Ceramic White and Ceramic Black variants are also available for the Samsung Galaxy S10+ (512Gb).
