Nine postgraduate students presented with Dean’s List Award
MIRI: Nine postgraduate students from IBS College who are currently pursuing their Masters programmes in collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Sarawak ( Unimas) were presented with the Dean’s List Award recently.
The award presentation event was chaired by Unimas senior academicians – Dr Surena Sabil (dean of Cognitive Sciences and Human Development Faculty), Dr Jerome Kueh Swee Hui (deputy dean of Industry, Community Engagement and Commercialisation Faculty), Dr Puah Chin Hong (CEO of Unimas Business School) and Heng Chin Siong ( Postgraduate Programme Coordinator, MScHRD by Coursework) at IBS College here which is also Unimas’ Learning Centre in Miri.
The awards were bestowed to the nine postgraduate students who achieved CGPA 3.75 and above for the long semester.
Jerome and Puah presented the award to six Corporate Master in Business Administration (CMBA) students comprising Jacky Voon, Wong Ping Ping, Lue Ik Kiong, Felix Moh, Emmy Polly and an international student David Arbonjague.
The other three recipients – Mariana Chester, Siti Mariani and Nelly Lim – from Master of Science in Human Resource Development Programme received the award presented by Dr Surena and Heng.
Meanwhile, Puah commended IBS College for the high quality performance and added that the academic performance of the students at Unimas’ Learning Centre Miri as the best among all its centres.
Unimas’ Postgraduate Programme was launched at IBS College on 2017 with full time courses conducted during the weekend.
The postgraduate programme offered at IBS College are Corporate Master in Business Administration (CMBA), Master of Science in Human Resource Development ( HRD) and Master of Science (Counselling).
The postgraduate programmes at the Miri centre are well suited for working adults who seek academic advancement and professional growth.
