-

KUALA LUMPUR: Guardian Malaysia celebrated International Women’s Day ( IWD) by hosting a special two- day, one- night stay at The Chateau Spa and Organic Wellness Resort for their five selected ‘ Influencers’ and 20 lucky winners of its public campaign.

Sazzy Falak, Atita Haris, Tash Yong, Jorise Lee and Elecher Lee, together with two popular YouTubers, Nisha Ezzati and Aisyah Habshee, were joined by the campaign winners in this carefullycurated retreat, where they underwent an inspiring journey with interesting and relaxing activities.

There were professionals throughout their stay, who provided step-by-step tutorials in different sessions to target various needs, as well as beauty consultants who helped them understand their skin during the talks on skincare-related topics.

Moreover, a beauty class was held to educate participants on makeup techniques and advise them on different grooming styles for different occasions.

A professional speaker was also invited to share with the participants points about stress management issues.

The purpose of this unique retreat was to help the women achieve wellness in every aspect of their lives, while combating high levels of stress, so that they would emerge as healthier and more beautiful versions of themselves.

According to Guardian Malaysia brand manager ( health and beauty own brand Malaysia and Brunei) Michelle Yeap Hoon Li, the roles of women in today’s society have changed tremendously; therefore, the ability to multi-task is essential to live up to the job descriptions of homemakers, breadwinners, mothers, and educators – among other things.

“During the Guardian Malaysia’s campaign period, all female followers on social media were invited to comment below the ‘ IWD’ post with the reason why they were keen to win the all-inclusive wellness trip – ending each entry with the hashtag # BalanceForBetter,” she said.

Twenty winners were then selected to join the Guardian Women Empowerment Programme’s ‘ Balance For Better’, which ran from March 8 to 9. Other sponsors of this programme included Derma365, Happy Mask, Nature’s Heart, BeYoutiful and Botaneco Garden.
