Sarawak Borneo Cross Country Rally 2019 attracts 12 big bikers
KUCHING: Twelve big bikers took part in a 10- day ‘Sarawak Borneo Cross Country Rally 2019’ from March 8 to 17.
They completed the journey covering 2,399km from Sabah, passing through Labuan, Brunei, Miri, Bintulu, Sibu, Betong, Kuching, Aruk ( Indonesia), Telok Melano and back to Kuching.
Organised by Unides Events, the participants came from Peninsular Malaysia, the United Kingdom, Brunei and Thailand.
The organiser also disclosed its plan to introduce ‘ Two-wheel Bike Rental Tourism App’ in May this year.
The company is collaborating with a mainland Chinese partner to come up with the mobile application.
According to the organiser, individuals can rent out their big bikes through the mobile application for cash.
On top of that, the company is looking at working with a partner in China to jointly organise the next cross- country rally, expected in August this year.
The upcoming event is expected to be known as ‘China Rally 2019’ fi xed for Aug 16 to 30.
Participants of ‘China Rally 2019’ are to ride from Beijing all the way to Inner Mongolia.
It is learnt that more than 50 big bikers have signed up for the August rally in China while the organiser targets to attract between 100 and 200 participants.
