Mah Sing further embracing digitalisation this year

-

KUALA LUMPUR: Mah Sing Group Bhd is looking to further embrace its digitalisation initiative this year under its allocated budget of RM28 million for the segment for three years from 2017 to 2019.

Executive director Datuk Steven Ng Poh Seng said to date, the group has only spent slightly above RM6 million from the allocated budget.

“Mah Sing has embraced digital initiatives in every part of the property journey, from sales and marketing, construction management and quality assurance, customer experience and engagement to property management.

“This is at a very initial stage. What we are doing here is basically to cut down all the papers so that customers have easy access. They can look at our projects via our apps,” he told a media briefing in conjunction with Invest Malaysia 2019 yesterday.

Over the medium to long term, he said Mah Sing will be looking at data analytics to study prospective buyers’ behaviour.

“But at the moment, we just want to ensure that we develop apps to have all the things in place for buyers to have a seamless customer experience,” he said.

In April 2018, Mah Sing launched the MY Mah Sing app and provides a number of services that cater to home buyers’ journey, from when they first sign the sales and purchase agreement to the moment they receive the keys to their unit and start a home.

Its customers are now able to keep abreast of construction progress and keep themselves updated on any defect rectification.

“The app further enhances the customer experience and provides convenience to buyers, allowing them to book facilities, register guests and renovation contractors,” he said.

For construction management and quality assurance, he said Mah Sing and its contractors use collaboration tools such as snagR apps to monitor construction work quality.

He said Mah Sing’s staff are equipped with best- of- breed technology support to ensure communication and collaboration between departments and amongst its regional offices in Klang Valley and Greater KL, Penang, Johor Bahru and Sabah.

“Mah Sing has leveraged on the strength of digital marketing to enhance the lives of its tech-savvy customers and reach out to wider market segments.” — Bernama
