Kuching Buddhist Society to hold talk on ‘Ten Reasons to be really Happy’

-

KUCHING: Kuching Buddhist Society ( English section) will be featuring a public talk called ‘ Ten Reasons to be really Happy’ to be presented by Dr Young Chee Hong.

It will be held on March 30, starting 7.30pm, on the third floor ( Sakyamuni Buddha Vihara) of the Kuching Buddhist Society complex in Jalan Laksamana Cheng Ho here.

Young, a regular speaker at Lion’s Roar (under Singapore Buddhist Federation) and the Mangala Vihara, will be speaking on the many reasons for one who walks the Noble Path to be Happy.

The Buddhadhamma dispenses the happiness of discerning wisdom, caring friendliness, fearlessness, and tranquility.

Young holds a doctorate in Chemical Engineering, and began his working career as a university lecturer and later spent 24 years in the petrochemical industry, starting as an engineer and progressed to managing the development of multimillion dollar engineering projects.

In the process of juggling family commitments and working in highly dynamic and demanding environments, he could directly observe the effectiveness of applying Buddhadhamma in those contexts.

Young was featured as a speaker at the World Fellowship of Buddhists - International Forum 2017 (Singapore) and also published a book entitled ‘An Approach to Living and Joyful Growth’.

Members of the public are welcome to attend this talk.
