Many winners at KGS Aquarmarin­e March tourney

KUCHING: Lincoln Leong Sze Hua and Noor Aminah Jeraiee emerged champions in the Men’s Group A nett and Ladies nett categories of the KGS Aquarmarin­e March Medal competitio­n at Kelab Golf Sarawak last Saturday.

Leong shot a nett 72 to finish two strokes ahead of Samsuddin Molok while Mohamed Dzurkaef was third one stroke further.

The Men’s Group A gross champion was Johari Aman who returned a score of 83 strokes.

Pang Kim Fah carded a 70 to claim the Men’s Group B nett title with the second and third spots going to Karim Reduan (74) and Mohamad Bedrie (75).

Club captain Henry Chuo Kuong Hang took the gross crown with his score of 96 strokes.

In Men’s Group C nett contest, Dr Mak Met won with 74 strokes followed by Nicholas Chong Hai Fung (75) and Law Ka Tong (76).

The gross title went to Joseph Chai Shong Siong who returned the day’s score of 102.

Meanwhile, Calvin Kong Chak Wan was crowned the Men’s Senior champion after he fired a 75 while Dillah Ahmad was second a stroke further.

Richard Sim Kay Hak was the gross winner with his score of 92 strokes.

Noor Aminah pipped South Korean challenger Kim Mi Kyeong to the Ladies nett title when she shot a 76, finishing just one shot ahead of Kim.

Kim walked away with another prize when she hit a hole-in- one at Matang Hole 3.

Youngster Angelie Jerembai Ong lifted the gross title after she carded a 89 score.

Law Wai Min was the winner of the men’s nearest to pin ( 9ft 7ins) and Angelie Jerembai Ong won the Ladies nearest to pin (2ft 4ins).
