Popular Mega Book Fair returns to CityONE
KUCHING: Popular Malaysia Mega Book Fair is making a pit-stop at CityONE Exhibition Centre here from Mar 22-31, 10am to 10pm daily in its circuit around the nation.
The fifth edition of the annual book fair offers a large selection of books in English, Chinese and BM with a wide assortment of stationery, CDs, gadgets and IT items and even snacks at fantastic prices in the exhibition hall spanning 14,900 sq ft.
Children from The Salvation Army Children’s Home and Rumah Kanak-Kanak Toh Puan Hajah Norkiah were invited to the press tour yesterday as part of Popular’s corporate social responsibility programme. They were given goodies sponsored by Office Pen N Paper, gift vouchers and attended a workshop conducted by My Craft Studio.
Present at the press tour were Popular Malaysia’s Kuching regional area retail manager Alex Choo, CityONE Megamall advertising and promotions manager Fiona Cosmas Meludu and Popular Retail Manager Dennis Teng.
During the book fair, new application and renewal of 3-year Popular Privilege Card comes with RM5 voucher and a Popular foldable recycling bag, while oneyear card renewal or application comes with an exclusive Popular pouch.
With the purchase of RM60 in a single receipt, customers may purchase a Cliptec Pop 251 Universal Travel Adapter with USB for only RM19.90.
RM80 purchase in a single receipt entitles customers to a 480ml Thermocafe vacuum stainless steel flask for RM39.90 nett. These offers are limited to only one per customer on sameday purchase while stocks last.
A total of 120 items are on offer as daily specials during the duration of the fair with special prices on selected items daily.
RM20 Popular vouchers are given with the purchase RM100 and above in a single receipt and an exclusive Popular umbrella is also given for the purchase of minimum RM150 in a single receipt.
Rebate of 20 per cent is given on all books, except textbooks, assessment materials and nettpriced items during the fair with a host of exciting and fun activities for the whole family.
Children can look forward to fun activities and attractive prizes in a colouring competition today (Mar 24) and Little Eco Warriors team from Mar 25-27.
DIY enthusiasts can look forward to Posca T-Shirt Design Workshop on Mar 30, Posca Correction Tape Workshop (Mar 30). On March 31, there will be Mini Mochi Pouch, Mascot Balloon Craft and Super Brain by PTSCKCH.
