We are still doing the inspection.

Kawi said the Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB) suspected a burst pipe as the culprit for the low water pressure to Rh Egang longhouse earlier this week.

The maintenance team is currently trying to pinpoint the burst and JBALB would continue to send water in tankers to the longhouse pending repairs to rectify this problem which has caused taps in the longhouse to run dry.

“We are still doing the inspection,” Fadil told The Borneo Post when contacted yesterday.

However, a nearby primary school, SK Selepin, is not affected by the water shortage.

Fadil said JBALB is doing its best to speedily resolve the issue and hoped repairs could be completed within one or two days so that the folks can get their regular water supply again.

The department apologised for the inconvenience caused and said consumers would be updated on the latest development.
