SIBU: A two-day University College of Technology Sarawak’s (UCTS) Info Day 2019, which started yesterday offers a perfect opportunity for the public to explore and discover everything about UCTS.

Its vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Khairuddin Ab Hamid thus invites the public to check out the Info Day.

“The UCTS Info Day 2019 on March 30 (9am-5pm) and March 31 (9am-2pm) is the perfect opportunity for youths, students and parents to explore and discover everything about UCTS.

“Students and parents will be able to explore our teaching and laboratory facilities and meet our academic staff.

“Besides, this is the best platform for parents to ask us anything or to get more info about our programmes, application and enrolment and any financial assistance that are available,” he said when contacted yesterday.

According to Khairuddin, there are other fun-filled activities during the Info Day such as Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) Playground whereby each school has its own family-friendly STEAM activities/games.

He said for the very first time, UCTS got their students to be fully involved in the Info Day.

“Our students helped to organise UCTS Youth Day which includes Zumba, student performances, mini games, Esport games (Dota and Mobile Legend tournaments), and Youth Market.”

Khairuddin said there is also the information corner where there is a display of photos/timeline/ milestone on UCTS for the past five years.

“Those who can’t make it this weekend, don’t worry because we have another round of UCTS Info Day to be held at Plaza Merdeka, Kuching from April 19 to 21.”
